Anita Zotkina

I paint, so I could remember my dreams

Biography

Anita Zotkina, a native of the charming port city of Odessa, commenced her artistic journey at an early age, unveiling an innate talent for capturing the essence of people, animals, and plants in a charming, whimsical style that delighted her family, friends, and teachers by the tender age of 4.
At 10, Anita's passion for art led her to the prestigious Grekov Art School in Odessa, where she delved into the realms of drawing and painting. Although she attended for just a year, choosing not to complete the full four-year program, she preserved her independence, resisting external influences on her evolving technique and distinctive style.
Upon completing high school, Anita devoted herself entirely to her artistic pursuits, focusing on landscapes, fantasy, and animals, using oil paint as her preferred medium. Her works were sold in various Odessa galleries and the City Garden, marking the beginning of her journey as a professional artist.
At 27, Anita embarked on a new chapter in New England, where she continued to carve out her artistic path. Here, she cultivated a unique style, blending elements of surrealism and impressionism to portray women, birds, and animals. Anita's creations radiate a dreamy ambiance, evoking nostalgic memories of joyful childhood moments.
Anita showcases her evolving body of work through online platforms, brick-and-mortar galleries, and participation in Art Fairs. Her art invites viewers to immerse themselves in a world where imagination meets skill, and where each stroke of the brush tells a story of a life devoted to the pursuit of artistic expression.
